Established in 1966 to assist the professional development of craft practitioners, today Craftsouth delivers a wide range of services to equip craft, design and visual art practitioners with the skills and know-how to establish markets and build audiences for their work.

Craftsouth provides Accreditation to contemporary craft, design and visual art practitioners, and a Referral Service for anyone wanting to commission, consign or research South Australian craft, design and visual art.

Craftsouth represents, develops and promotes South Australian craft, design and visual art, with particular emphasis on the professional practitioner.

Key Objectives of Craftsouth

This is achieved by a team of professional staff, responsible for the effective management of the organisation's policies and efficient management of its resources, working in conjunction with a Board comprised of South Australian craft, design and visual art practitioners and other indsutry specialists.
