Form 2000: A Calendar of Contemporary Art and Architecture

Form 2000 is a desk calendar documenting some of the most exciting collaborations between architects and artists in architectural or urban streetscapes which have been built in South Australia over recent years. This project is the result of a partnership between the Royal Australian Institute of Architects (SA Chapter) and Craftsouth: Centre for Contemporary Craft and Design.

The disciplines of architecture and art, craft and design share some common creative goals and in recognition of this, the two organisations formed a strategic alliance over a decade ago in order to promote and develop creative collaborations between these disciplines. This alliance has borne fruit as the examples in the calendar illustrate. The efforts and vision of architects, artists, project managers, state and local government and private developers together with programs such as the Public Art, Planning and Design Program of Arts SA have served to encourage artists and craftspeople to apply their skills to the fields of architecture and urban design to help enrich the built environment in South Australia.
